Key to victory

Welcome back to ABC 

today I want share with you the word of God entitled 

the Key to victory 

if you have Bible let us open with me 2nd Samuel 8;1-14 

Father we blessed your name 

father we thank this afternoon 

and father this is the time 

to listen to your words 

and as we listen to your words 

let your living words minister us 

and bless each every one of us 

father we thank you that you call us 

here in ABC 

and father when we study here 

strengthen us  

help us to accomplish this study 

in Jesus name Amen 

David had a victory all the battles. 

Because; God is with him all the time. 

Like David we believers have to win wherever we go. 

Today’s passage, we can see the David’s military victories. 

He defeated Philistines and subdued them. (1) 

He also defeated Moabites and made them lie down on the ground. (2) 

Moreover he fought Hadadezer king of Zobah and captured them. (3) 

When the Arameans of Damascus came to help Hadadezer 

David struck them down. (5) 

If you read continually 2 Samuel chapter 8, 

you can see David defeated all the enemy. 

and he won all the battles 

The Lord gave David victory wherever he went. 

Like this, we Christian should have a victory all the time. 

We have to defeat Satan’s power. 

We have to over come the temptation of the world. 

We have to win our spiritual warfare. 

now we are lineup 2nd trimester 

we are all at departure  

and we have some new students 

so brothers and sisters 

be united each other 

Let us hold each other's hands and go together. 

because we are riding one boat  

And I hope nobody would fall among us 

till we reach our finish line. 

David won the battle everywhere. 

But he did not win just by himself. 

The Lord made him win. 

The Lord gave him victory. 

Today's Passage verse 6  it says 

the Lord gave him victory wherever he went 

How was he blessed like that? 

as we know David was just a shepherd. 

His job was only to take care of sheep. 

But through God’s providence, 

he became the King of Israel. 

And David won the battle everywhere. 

How did God ever bless him like that? 

How did God give him so much power? 

this afternoon 

I want share with you the secret of victory through David's life 

1st, the key to victory is faith. 

When Israelites had a battle with Philistines 

There was a champion named Goliath in Philistines. 

He was over 9 feet tall giant. 

And he said, “I dare you to pick someone to fight me!” 

When Israelites heard this voice, 

they were all terrified. 

they were all trembled with fear 

At that times a young boy named David came out. 

actually he is not Isreal's solder 

he just went there bring his brothers lunch box 

but he comeout and he said 

"You come against me with sword and spear and javelin 

but I come against you in the name of the Lord almighty. 

This day the Lord will put you in my power. 

For the battle is the Lord’s.” 

And he defeated Goliath. 

Brothers and sisters the key to victory is faith. 

David absolutely trusted God’s almighty. 

For that reason he won the fight everywhere. 

We should have faith like David too. 

That time Almighty God is with us 

And He will fight it on our behalf. 

Brothers and sisters 

when we study here 

we will meet many Goliaths 

we will meet financial problem, 

we will meet the world's temptation and so on 

but don't be shaken God is with us 

Like David, we put our faith in the Lord. 

you didn't come here by your own 

you came here because God called you 

he called so he will lead you 

and he will give you his power to defeat to all the Goliath 

do not rely your paster 

do not depend your missionary 

but trust God who is almighty 

he will make your way 

he will guide your way 

and he will make you victory everywhere you go 

Remember; the key to victory is faith. 

2nd the key to victory is dedication. 

Dedicate means giving 

Today’s passage in verse 11 it says 

“King David dedicated these articles to the Lord. 

As he had done with the silver and gold from all the nations he had subdue;” 

The king David offered all good things to the Lord 

and God was pleased what David offered. 

so God gave him victory wherever he went. 

Brother and sisters 

we should also dedicate to the lord as a David 

we give our heart to the Lord 

we give our time to the Lord 

we give our life to the Lord 

then God will bless you and he will use you 

2005 when we start our school in Janelco building 

we have student and her name is Mina 

she is so active and dynamic student 

that time her age is only 15 years old 

so we told them you are too young to study here 

but she insist to study 

you know when she has a class, she lost 

because she's not really good at English 

finally she fail all subject 

and she said pastor I will go home 

but I will come back after I graduate high school 

and she left 

2 month ago, we visit her church in Mankayan 

and we have service there 

we I realize God use her in her church 

you know before she study here 

her church young people is only 2 

but after she study here in ABC 

only two trimester and she went back her church 

now her church full of young people 

more than 30 young people attending her church 

God use her mightly 

when I come to baguio she gave a letter 

and it says 

paster thank you for visiting my church 

and I thank God use me for his kingdom 

as you know I cry many times because of my Enlish in ABC 

but I learned a lot in ABC thank you pastor and soon.... 

brothers and sisters 

now you are study here in ABC 

someone left wife and babe and stay dormitory 

someone come everyday from San fernando by motor cycle 

someone work day time and night time come and study 

but brothers and sisters 

God know you 

he knows how you sacrifice 

he knows your dedication 

and God will reward to you 

the way you plant the way you will harvest 

so continue to dedicate our selves to the Lord 

then he will use you as david 

ex)mountain ministry 

but brothers and sisters 

God knows your mind 

God knows your passion 

and your labour will not be vain 

continue to trust our God who is almighty 

and go on your way 

remember the key to victory is dedication 

3rd, the key to victory is prayer. 

David is a person who prays all the time. 

Brothers and sisters 

Whenever David goes before a battle, he always asked the Lord 

and always the Lord answered to him. 

Because David believed that the battle is the Lord’s hands. 

That’s the reason why he always pray before he go to battle 

and he won all the battles  

Brothers and sisters 

We are now in a spiritual battle. 

And how do we win over battle. 

Pray like David 

and God surely make us victors not losers 

When Joshua had war with the Amalekites. 

And Moses went up to mountain to pray. 

As long as Moses held up his hands the Israelites were winning. 

But whenever he put his hands down, Amalekites were winning. 

So Aaron and Hur, they held up Moses' hands 

so that moses continue to pray 

finally  Israelite won the battle 

Brother and sisters 

When your praying of hands goes down, 

the devil is winning. 

When you stop to pray, the enemy begins to win 

but when your praying of hands raise up, 

the enemy begins to fail. 

And God will give you victory. 

  

remember the key to victory is prayer. Amen. 

shall we stand up 

be loved students 

God does not guarantee those who do not pray 

We have not because we ask not 

do you have problem or trouble some 

Why worry when you could pray 

Brothers and sisters 

I want you start this new semester with prayer 

I know that you pray, 

but I believe you could pray more. 

I know most of you pray, 

but I believe most of you could witness more answers to prayer. 

I really want this school get to be a school of prayer 

Actually I want all of you to become a man of prayer 

God wants to show great thing to the person who prays 

The Lord longs to be gracious to you and your family 

He waits on high to have compassion on you and me 

The most important thing of today and tomorrow is prayer  

There is no other way but prayer 

there is power in prayer 

pray like david 

then God will give you the victory in your life amen? 

father once again we thank you this evening 

father thank you the massage that you have given us today 

and I pray in Jesus name 

as we start new class today 

you continue to bless us 

bless our life 

Bless our future  

Bless our ministry 

give us victory in our lives wherever we go 

Father We confess that we are nothing without you 

and we proclaim that you are our the Lord 

And we pray that your hand be with us 

Yes father we need your power and direction 

all mighty God, you protect and guide our life 

and give us strong and steady faith like david 

be with us in our race till reach to the finish line 

father I pray for the ABC 

continue to bless ABC 

bless all the faculty staff and all our students 

magnify and increase your work throuth the ABC 

use us more mightly for your glory and your Kingdom 

thank you Father 

thank you for your goodness and loving  kindness 

we give all our praise and honor to you 

in Jesus name amen.
