Love yourself

you know We have 3 specific relationships we need to consider 

our relationship with God with ourselves and with others, 

And now may I ask one thing? 

Are you at peace with your self? 

The most important is with yourself 

because you spend more time with your self than we do anyone else. 

If you are happy others also happy 

As for me when I go home with smile 

My smile is infectious to my family 

Everybody smile 

But when I go home with angry 

My family is become tense 

That is why the most important is with yourself. 

As a matter of fact, you can not get away from yourself 

The person who does not get along with himself will probably not get along with others. 

If you cannot enjoy with yourself, you cannot enjoy other people either. 

Brothers and sisters 

Do you like yourself? 

Do you love yourself? 

That is the first step to enjoy your life and that is the main key in searching peace in your life. 

As for me, I suffered from not liking myself for many years 

When I failed the university exam, I got angry at myself 

When my life is not doing well 

I got disappointed with myself again. 

But after receiving the grace of God, I changed, now I love my self. 

Brothers and sisters think about this. 

If you don’t love yourself, who will love yourself 

If you reject yourself, who will accept yourself 

Yes, I have weaknesses and mistakes 

What do I do is not always perfect 

But even though, I’m still a child of God 

And I know God loves me very much 

Our worth and value comes from the fact that Jesus died for us not because I do something 

Brothers and sisters 

You have tremendous worth and value 

You are special to God 

And he has a good plan for your life 

Don’t rate yourself unusable just because you have some weakness 

Even though you hate yourself, you cannot run away from yourself 

Its better you accept yourself as you are 

In the Bible, there are many example of weak people who accomplished great things for God’s glory 

Don’t fight with your weakness 

Anyone has their weaknesses. 

You give your weakness to Jesus 

He can make it disappear 

And He can fill it with his strength 

You know all of Jesus’ disciples were ordinary man just like you and me 

Peter is only a fisherman and he was hot tempered 

Andrew has soft hearted 

I think  James and John are too ambitious 

And Matthew is just a tax collector 

You see there were no great men among Jesus disciples except Judas 

Only Judas was a good religious leader and had worth 

To the world’s eye, only Judas had business strength and personality qualities 

But his greatest natural strengths became his greatest weakness 

As we all know, he betrayed his teacher 

His cleverness brought destruction to his life 

You see, it’s irony and very interesting. 

Those whom the world recommended , Jesus rejected 

Brothers and sisters 

This morning shall we give ourselves to Jesus as we are? 

He does not care how many faults we have 

As long as we trust in Jesus Christ , he can do great and mighty things through us. 

Now I will conclude my sermon with reading one scripture 

Shall we open the Bible in 1Corinthians 1:25-29 

For the foolishness of God is wiser than man's wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than man's strength. 

Brothers, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. He chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things--and the things that are not--to nullify the things that are, so that no one may boast before him. 

Brothers and sisters 

Don’t worry even you have weakness 

Just love yourself, the way God loves you 

Don’t worry if your are just an ordinary people 

God value you with so much worth as long as you trust in God 

God will use you to shame the wise 

You should be confident with yourself as you are 

Because God loves you and God has a beautiful plan ahead of you 

If you hold this truth in your heart then you will find peace and happiness in your heart 

And you will enjoy your life 

Let us pray 

Dear Lord, we thank you for making us the person we are 

Father God, fill your strength where we are weak 

And give us the grace to accept ourselves the way you accept us 

Thank you Lord for loving us with supernatural love 

Thank you lord for your protection and guidance.
