The blessed man (Psalms 1:1~3)

Bong bong went to heaven 

And peter was there in front of heaven 

and he said welcome to heaven and  guide him 

when bong bong go around heaven 

It is wonderful and amazing Of course it is heaven 

And he see very big building wow very big what kind of building is this 

and peter said building of blessing building of blessing can I see in side? 

And peter said it is better not to see in 

Then bong bong want more to see inside 

Show me pls~~ So peter show that building 

they went inside 

And there are many cabinet and inside cabinet 

There are many boxes And every box has name tag 

So he is asking to peter is there my name 

And he said yes and they look for his name 

and finally they found his box and they open it when he sow it 

And he start to crying sayans sayang .. you know what is in the box 

Blessing for bong bong god prepare many many blessings 

but he didn’t receive those blessing 

when he stay here in the world … 

that is why he cry sayang sayang… 

Brothers and sisters 

God prepare many blessings for you and me 

Then how to get those blessings in our lives.. 

This morning I’d like to speak to you a message on the subject of 

“the blessed man” 

which is based on Psalms chapter 1 

In the 1st chapter of Psalms it begins with a word “Blessed”. 

Are you blessed? 

God wants to bless his people. 

God desire to bless us. 

But according to today’s passage there’s condition for receiving blessing. 

Then how we get God’s blessing? 

Who is the blessed man? 

Let’s find out together how to be a blessed man. 

1st We must be separated from evil. 

Today’s passage in verse 1 

“Blessed man does not walk in the counsel of the wicked.” 

He has dissociation from the wicked. 

He rejected the advice of the wicked. 

He only take and walk in the commandments of the Lord. 

He footsteps are ordered by the word of God. 

And not by wicked advice. 

So brothers and sisters 

For the blessings of the lord we should walk with the Lord amen 

And next, 

“The blessed man does not stand in the way of sinner.” 

Before we became Christian. 

We were all sinners. Right? 

But now by the God’s grace we are cleansed and saved 

Through Jesus blood we are cleansed and saved. 

Through Jesus’ blood we are no longer sinners. 

So brothers and sisters don’t stand back in the way of sinners. 

We must continue to stand in the grace of God. 

Do not follow the way of sinners but follow our Lord. 

Then God will flow out His blessings to us. 

And next 

“The blessed man does not sit in the seat of mockers.” 

Blessed man does not join the wicked seat 

He only walks with the Lord our God. 

Because he knew only God can help him. 

By the way there is very interest thing today’s passage in verse one 

Check this one, at first walk, and sit.stand  

It means there is a gradual process of sin. 

You know, at the beginning the temptation of Satan is weaker. (Very light) 

But step by step and little by little his temptation is getting harder. (Heavier) 

We are now living with the Lord 

We belong to God. 

And when we walk with Him. 

Satan always wants to separate us from the Lord. 

“You come over here. I’ll give you sweet apple.” 

And if you merely go one step to him, 

If you start to follow Satan’s temptation, 

You might forget God. 

And later on, you will fully violate God’s commandments. 

And let it alone, you will go one step further. 

Finally you will sit down in sinner’s stand. 

You see Satan knows how to tempt us. 

He is a professional. 

At first, just walk with them and stand with them. 

Finally you will sit down with them. 

Brothers and sisters 

In korea we have saying 

Who he steals a pin will steal an carabao later on 

Meaning first time we committ small sin but step by step we will commit big sin 

I remember when we go to mountain ministry some want borrow my cell phone .. 

And return and no more load.. 

As we concerned, fall into temptation is progressive. 

It happens by degrees 

But when you realize that you are falling into temptation. That’s too late. 

It’s like falling in quick sand. 

Once you fall into it. 

It will make you go down deeper and deeper. 

And it will be very difficult to come out of it by yourself. 

Brothers and sisters 

May be nobody can deny that there is pleasure in sin. 

If there is no pleasure we will not fall into temptation. 

Kung ang apple ay hindi masarap, sino pa ang kakain nito 

But we have to know this one. 

When you start fall into temptation it is sweet 

It is pleasure when we plant seed of sin. 

But it is painful when we harvest fruit of sin. 

You know how to hunt the wolf in Alaska? 

As we know Alaska is covered with snow and ice. 

When they catch wolf in Alaska, 

they put blood on the sword and stick it up side down on the ground. 

So wolf takes a smell of blood and come 

And he licks the blood on the sword. 

And he will be cutting his tongue with sword. 

Later on he is licking his blood and he will die. 

Brothers and sisters 

Sin is like this. 

That is why we should watch out always. 

Especially these days, there is a lot of temptation in this world. 

The devil roams around like a roaring lion. 

And looking for someone who to devour. 

Therefore don’t give him time to spare to attack us. 

The blessed man they do not walk, do not stand and do not sit in the sinner’s way. 

They can hold no communion with such characters as these. 

They keep themselves pure from these lepers. 

They put away evil things from them.amen 

Brothers and sisters 

We must protect ourselves from wicked. 

Then God willingly flows out His blessings to us. 

2nd We must be saturated with the word of God. 

Let’s see our passage verse 2 

“His delight is in the law of the Lord and his law he meditate day and night.” 

When I was young my family had family worship every day after dinner. 

And my family members read the Bible in routine. 

That time I didn’t like to read the Bible. 

Because Korean Bible is so difficult language as King James Version. 

So when we read the Bible it was so boring to me. 

That is why I use to wish to finish the bible reading 

But after I received the grace of God. 

I was very delightful in reading the Bible. 

The more I read the Bible I felt the more I am near to the Lord. 

Brothers and sisters 

The blessed man he meditates the word of God day and night. 

What does it means day and night? As much as all the time. (Constantly) 

The blessed man he has his love the law of God. 

Always in his mouth and in his heart. 

Brothers and sisters 

As we know the word of God is daily bread of all the Christians. 

We have to feed our soul as our body. 

Because it becomes a source of spiritual nourishment for us. 

Bible says in Jeremiah 15:16 

“When your words came I ate them. They were my joy and my heart’s delight. 

For I bear your name. O Lord God almighty.” 

He ate the word of God and what was the result? 

He said they were joy and delight in their heart. 

There is joy in the word not in the world. 

Someone is looking for joy in the world. 

But blessed man looking for joy in the word of God. 

Brothers and sisters 

Do you delight in the law of the Lord? 

Do you read the word of God day and night? 

then the blessing of joy will belong to you. 

Now, we listen to the word of God 

If you just listen one ear and pass by another ear. 

God’s blessing also pass by you. 

But if you listen to every word and saturate with it 

The joyful is yours blessing is yours amen 

Ex) D L moody /prayer mountain/ crusade/ why my faith is not strong cannot control myself.. 

one day he read bible Romans 10;16 faith comes from hearing the message, 

and the message is heard through the word of god yes this is it 

after that he read bible every day and no more back slide… 

brothers and sisters

 

As Samuel said in the 1st Samuel 3 ;10 speak the lord your servant is listening… 

We should  aware and  attention to listen to the word of god always amen 

Then god will bless our life 

3rd We must be situated by the water. 

Let’s see verse 3 

“He shall be like a tree planted by stream of water.” 

The blessed man is like a tree beside the stream of water. 

The tree beside the stream it will not dry up. 

Because the stream feeds the tree with water. 

Like this, we must be situated by the living water. 

Jesus says in John 7:37 

“If any one is thirsty let him come to me and drink. 

Whoever believes in me as the Scripture has said 

streams of living water will flow from with in him.” 

And John 4:14 

“But whoever drinks the water I give him never thirst. 

Indeed the water I give him will become in him a spring of waters welling up to eternal life.” 

Brothers and sisters 

We will never be thirsty as long as we situate in the Lord. 

Like a tree, we need root systems that go deep into the spiritual resources of God’s grace. 

Then we will not be thirsty. 

We will not dry up. 

But sadly many professing Christians are not like trees. 

But they are like cut flowers. 

Cut flowers have no roots 

They may be beautiful for a while 

They may be looks good for the time being. 

But soon they will die. Because they don’t have roots. 

Brothers and sisters we need root system 

Our root should go down deep into his grace. 

We must be situated by the living water. 

Because only God is our total source of life. 

Everything comes out from god amen 

He is the vital power. He is the manufacturer. 

We have fruit only when we have root.amen 

Shall we said “only Jesus” 

Brothers and sisters 

God wants to bless us. 

Blessing is God’s will for us 

Bible says in Haggai(하기아이)2;19 

Is there yet any seed left in the barn? 

Until now, the vine and the fig tree,

 the pomegranate (파미그라네잍)and the olive tree have not borne fruit. " 

'From this day on I will bless you.' "the lord did not say I will bless tomorrow 

He said from this day on I will bless you 

But first, we must prepare our selves for his blessing. 

We need 3 S 

1st we must be separated from evil things. 

2nd we must be saturated with the word of God. 

3rd we must be situated by the living water. 

If you follow all of these steps you will definitely receive blessings from God.
